Sports are a platform to SPEAKLIFE!

Out of the 45 million kids playing organized sports, 80% quit by age 15. The biggest reason: “It’s not fun anymore.”
We are losing our kids to video games, obesity, financial & racial discrimination, addiction, sexual promiscuity, & worse.
Coaches. Players. Parents. Media. Today’s sports culture has put a stranglehold on sportsmanship and a spotlight on self-importance. From coaches who lose their tempers, to parents who lose their minds - kids are forced to navigate a toxic environment in this damaging sports culture and often, again, when they get home. Winning has become EVERYTHING.

I encourage SpeakLife to keep encouraging kids because the work that SpeakLife is doing is so needed. As you know, baseball is a big part of my life and my story and I honestly believe that had I not played those 15 years that I wouldn't be the person I am today. In fact, I can remember back to my little league days when I had a coach that constantly yelled at his players and got angry quite often. I put up with that for 3 years and almost quit baseball as a result of it, but I'm glad I didn't. My only regret is that I wouldn't have changed leagues earlier as to have a coach like the ones that work for SpeakLife to encourage me to maximize my potential instead of playing out of fear for 3 years as a young ballplayer. Keep up the hard work!"
